Go Industries Marine Windows — The Legacy Continues
Maritech Industries is the direct successor to Go Industries, the California marine window manufacturer founded in 1971. We continue to build custom vinyl-framed marine windows using the same patented design and construction methods that Go Industries established over 50 years ago. If your boat has Go Industries windows and they need replacing, we can produce exact replacements in all three original types — fixed, sliding, and hinged — using the same vinyl frame system.
About Go Industries
Go Industries was founded in 1971 by a group of yachtsmen in Costa Mesa, California. The company developed a patented vinyl frame design for marine windows that solved a fundamental problem: corrosion. Traditional aluminum frames deteriorate in salt air. Go Industries' rigid vinyl frames do not corrode, and they resist most chemicals used on boats, including paint thinner and acetone.
Go Industries manufactured three types of marine windows — fixed, sliding, and hinged — in both standard and heavy duty frames. Their windows were selected as standard equipment by multiple boat manufacturers, and Go Industries maintained a library of production patterns for a wide range of vessels.
The business continued under Mark Plastics for 35 years in California, and was acquired by Maritech Industries in 2023. We operate from the same production patterns and use the same vinyl frame construction.

Window Types We Build
Go Industries produced three basic window types. We manufacture all three:
Fixed windows. Available in almost any shape or size. Standard frame options include 1½", 1⅞", 2½", and 3" corner radius as well as mitered corners. Heavy duty frames are available with 2½" or 4½" radius, or mitered corners.
Sliding windows. Feature glued and screwed handles to prevent loosening, large exterior drain holes, and a clear interior splash guard — features that make these among the most leak-proof sliding marine windows available. Standard frame corner options include 1⅛", 2½", 3" radius, and mitered. Heavy duty options include 2½" or 4½" radius, or mitered corners.
Hinged windows. Designed for ventilation on power boats. Use stainless steel windshield adjusters to hold the pane open in any position. Screw-down dogs create a watertight seal when closed. Can be made in almost any shape or size.
All three types are available in standard frame (accommodates cabin wall thickness of ⅜" to ¾") or heavy duty frame (⅜" to 2").
Installation
Go Industries windows install using the "clamp" method. Both the outer frame (which holds the pane) and the inner trim ring come pre-drilled, and stainless steel fastening screws are included. The outer frame seats against the cabin side with sealant, and the interior trim ring screws into place, clamping the cabin wall between the two pieces. No specialized tools are needed.
If you're replacing existing Go Industries windows, the new window is built to the same dimensions and installs in the same opening.
Production Patterns & Custom Sizing
Because Go Industries windows were installed as standard equipment on many production boats, we have a library of existing patterns on file. When requesting a quote, provide the boat make, year, and model/length along with the window block dimensions — we can check against our existing patterns.
If your windows are a non-standard size, or if you want to change the dimensions from the original, custom sizing is available at no extra cost. Every window is built to order.
How to Get a Replacement Quote
The process is straightforward:
- Measure or remove your existing window. We need the outside dimensions of the frame and the thickness of your cabin wall (the "stack"). If you can remove the old window and ship it to us as a template, even better.
- Contact us. Email or call with your measurements and a couple of photos. We typically respond with a price and lead time within one to two business days.
- We build and ship. We fabricate your replacement and ship nationwide, or you can arrange local pickup.

Frequently asked questions
Can you match old Go Industries windows?
Yes. Go Industries used the same vinyl frame system that Mark Plastics continued and that we use today. If you have a classic sailboat or trawler with original Go windows, bring us the dimensions.
Do you ship outside California?
Yes. We can ship anywhere in the world.
How long does it take?
Lead time varies by current workload, but most custom window orders ship within 4-6 weeks. Rush orders are available — contact us to discuss your timeline and we'll do our best to accommodate.
What glass options do you offer?
We offer clear tempered glass, bronze tint, gray tint, and UV-blocking coatings. Tempered glass is standard on all windows for safety. We can discuss your options when you request a quote.
Can you replace windows from other manufacturers too?
Yes. We can produce exact replacements for virtually any boat window regardless of the original manufacturer or frame material — vinyl, aluminum, or otherwise.
