Mark Plastics Boat Windows — We're the Same Shop
If you found your way here searching for Mark Plastics, you're in the right place. Maritech Industries is the direct successor to Mark Plastics — the same California operation, the same equipment, the same dedication to hand-crafted vinyl-framed marine windows that boaters relied on for 35 years. We make exact custom replacements for every window Mark Plastics ever produced, and we build new ones too.

The Story Behind the Name
Mark Plastics was the trade name of Mark Heacox, a California craftsman who spent 35 years building a quiet but fiercely loyal following among boat owners up and down the West Coast — and well beyond. His windows showed up in forum threads on AllCoast, BloodyDecks, TrawlerForum, and SailboatOwners, almost always with the same verdict: exceptional quality, fair price, and a craftsman who cared about getting it right.
What most people didn't know is that Mark's operation was itself the continuation of something older. Mark Plastics was the successor to Go Industries, the marine window manufacturer founded in 1971 by a group of yachtsmen in Costa Mesa, California. Go Industries pioneered the vinyl-framed marine window design that became the industry standard — their "Go windows" were known for clean lines, a weathertight seal, and a frame that wouldn't corrode, pit, or fail the way aluminum frames do over time.
When Maritech Industries acquired the Mark Plastics business in 2023, we weren't just buying equipment. We were taking on a 50-year lineage — and a responsibility to the customers who still depend on it.
What This Means for Your Boat
Whether you have original Go Industries windows from the 1970s or Mark Plastics windows installed in the 2000s or 2010s, we can help in three ways:
Exact replacements. If your existing windows are leaking, cracked, fogged, or just worn out, we can fabricate exact replacements to the same dimensions and profile. Bring us your old window as a template — or send us measurements — and we'll build you a new one that drops right in.
Upgraded replacements. We can also re-engineer the fit for improved sealing, updated glass (tempered, tinted, UV-coated), or a cleaner interior finish. Same opening, better window.
New custom windows. Building or refitting a vessel from scratch? We build fully custom vinyl-framed windows in fixed, hinged, sliding, and removable configurations — any shape, any size.
All windows are built by hand in our Corona, CA shop using the same vinyl frame system and tempered glass that made Mark Plastics windows worth seeking out in the first place.

Why Vinyl Frames?
Aluminum corrodes. Wood rots. Vinyl doesn't do either. That's the short answer — and it's why Go Industries chose vinyl in 1971 and why we still use it today.
Vinyl frames won't pit, blister, or stain from salt air. They don't conduct cold the way aluminum does, which helps reduce interior condensation. They're lighter than aluminum for the same structural strength. And they look clean for decades with nothing more than an occasional wipe-down.
For boats that spend time on salt water — or that sit in a marina year-round — vinyl is simply the right material.
How to Get a Replacement Quote
The process is straightforward:
- Measure or remove your existing window. We need the outside dimensions of the frame, the glass pane dimensions, the thickness of your cabin wall (the "stack"), and the profile of the frame lip. If you can remove the old window and ship it to us as a template, even better.
- Contact us for a quote. Email or call us with your measurements and a couple of photos. We'll come back with a price and lead time — typically within a business day or two.
- We build and ship. Once approved, we fabricate your window in our Corona shop and ship it to you, or you can arrange local pickup.
We ship nationwide. Most of our customers aren't in Southern California — they found us the same way you did, through word of mouth and forums, and they trusted us to get it right without ever setting foot in the shop.
Frequently asked questions
Can you match my old Mark Plastics windows exactly?
In most cases, yes. If you have the original windows (or even just one intact window), we can use them as a template. If they're already gone, accurate measurements of the opening and wall thickness are usually enough for us to work from.
Can you match old Go Industries windows?
Yes. Go Industries used the same vinyl frame system that Mark Plastics continued and that we use today. If you have a classic sailboat or trawler with original Go windows, bring us the dimensions.
Do you ship outside California?
Absolutely. We ship nationwide. Most of our orders go out of state. We pack windows carefully for freight shipping and can advise on the best method for your order size.
How long does it take?
Lead time varies by current workload, but most custom window orders ship within 4-6 weeks. Rush orders are available — contact us to discuss your timeline and we'll do our best to accommodate.
What glass options do you offer?
We offer clear tempered glass, bronze tint, gray tint, and UV-blocking coatings. Tempered glass is standard on all windows for safety. We can discuss your options when you request a quote.
I'm not sure if my windows are Mark Plastics. Can you still help?
Yes. We can produce exact replacements for virtually any boat window, regardless of the original manufacturer or frame material — vinyl, aluminum, or otherwise. Send us photos and measurements and we'll let you know what we can do.
